danimeowmarie: my heart just breaks..for nathan..for stallone (another bait dog) and for all doggys that have to endure this. i pray every nigt for them while cuddling my own doggy. this world can be so cruel..rip sweet boy..and remember if see/suspect any dog fighting report it immediately, you can save lives!

TAO wanted to post this on Dec 11, 2012 since it will be his 8 month anniversary of his passing .
We haven’t shown this photo before…Judy found awhile back while cleaning out her phone photos .
This photo taken minutes before his surgery .
Judy says about this :
“ I’ve stared and studied this photo many times .
And my conclusion is this :Nathan shows he was ready to leave this earth but not before he recd the love and care from his rescue .
The day I rescued Nathan I truly believed he would survive .
Nathan is a victim of being used as what you call a bait dog . The calmer, more submissive dogs are chosen for this brutal role.
This photo shows the True face of dog fighting .
I evaluated his body after and before his passing . If you look at his paws up you can see the marks of wounds where dog fighters use a razor blade to draw blood that will incite the other dogs to attack .
Some people didn’t think he was used as a bait dog .. I know for sure that he was, just by the amount of dogs we rescue from a known dog fighting area . I’ve seen terrible things but Nathan was the worse of the worse .
Our pitbulls are misunderstood ,yes, however they are the most abused .
People ask how do I do it , well this right here is many reasons why I do .
The vet that examined Nathan stated his injuries were sustained from another dog (s) . Still to this day I think about him everyday and everyday I pray for those who may end up like him .
Nathan we rescued from a local kill shelter and transported to a vet immediately
. You can see it in his eyes the pain .
The vet techs said that on his way outside he wagged his tail.
That to me was his way of saying bye ..
My heart breaks each time I see his photos .. I get so mad !!!
And I use that anger to educate children , teens , and those who may not know about dog fighting.
I try my best to rescue and prevent any that may end up like Nathan yet I know I can’t save them all .

A majority of our dogs we have rescued have been abused or abandoned . This will help us continue our mission.
